Day 4 – Rome

Posted on July 3, 2014

Food is food for the soul.

Today started with a trip to The Pantheon. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk from our apartment. It’s a very large building. So large in fact, I had a hard time fitting it in frame for a photo. This was the best I could get (a fountain was blocking the ideal spot to stand).

Anyway, it’s pretty cool. There are some interesting things inside, but it’s just one room, so doesn’t take too long to look around.

After this, we went to get some Gelato. Mmmm. We came across a Lindt shop which also sold Lindt Gelato. It was pretty amazing. Also lots of chocolate and other candy in the store. We then went to another Gelato store for fruit flavours. It had a huge range of flavours (must have been over 50).

After a bit more walking, we stopped for lunch. This was one of the best restaurants we have been to yet. Got some delicious lasagne and pizza.

This is our last day in Rome; we leave for Florence tomorrow. Overall Rome was great. Especially the food.
